Automatic return labels

Automatic return labels for Shopify: DHL, DPD, GLS & more.

Every return shipment needs a label – but nobody should be creating them by hand. ZackReturns generates return labels automatically the moment a return passes your rules: for DHL, DPD, GLS and more, QR code included. Your shopper gets the label instantly – you don't touch a thing.

Why manual labels don't scale

While returns are rare, it's manageable: open the carrier portal, type in the address, download the PDF, e-mail it over. At a few returns a week, that turns into a genuine time sink – and every delay produces the same message in your inbox: “Where's my return label?”

It's expensive even before you count your own time: third-party industry figures – such as those from the EHI Retail Institute – put the cost of a return at around €10, covering processing, shipping and loss of value. Creating labels by hand only inflates that number.

Approval first, label second – the automatic flow

Sending a label for every request sounds convenient, but it gets costly: returns outside your return window would get one too. ZackReturns creates the return label only once the return has passed your rules – via auto-approval within seconds, or manually with one click.

  • Your shopper registers the return in your Returns Portal – on your domain, in your branding
  • ZackReturns checks your rules automatically: return window, return reasons, auto-approval
  • On approval, the return label is generated automatically – QR code included
  • Label and QR code go straight to your shopper; the return stays visible in your dashboard

QR code included: no printer needed

Plenty of shoppers simply don't own a printer – and every hurdle in the return shipment ends up as a question in your inbox. That's why every label comes with a QR code: at supported carriers, your shopper just shows the code at the parcel shop or post office and the label is printed on the spot.

Less friction for your shopper – and fewer “how do I print this?” e-mails for you.

Who pays for the return shipment? You decide.

Free return shipping, a flat fee, or your own rules – you set what the return shipment costs. If you charge a fee, ZackReturns deducts it from the refund automatically: no chasing payments, no open balances.

That keeps things fair – shoppers who return a lot share the cost, and you still never have to follow up over a shipping fee. Return shipping fees are available from the Growth plan, same as automatic labels.

Which carriers – and on which plan?

ZackReturns creates labels for DHL, DPD, GLS and more – the carriers that matter when you ship to shoppers in Germany and the EU – always with a QR code. Labels are tiered by plan so you don't pay for what you don't need: automatic return labels start on the Growth plan (DHL); multi-carrier – DPD, GLS and more side by side – is part of the larger plans from 800 returns a month.
